BOSTON BRUINS-Traded D Aaron Ward to Carolina for F Patrick Eaves and a 2010 fourth-round draft pick. Placed Eaves on waivers with the purpose of buying him out.

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS-Signed D Marc-Andre Bourdon.

PHOENIX COYOTES-Announced F Daniel Winnik was awarded a one-year contract following of an arbitration hearing.

GRAND RAPIDS GRIFFINS-Promoted Kevin Huisman to director of ticket operations. Named Chad Erwin group services and box office manager.

SYRACUSE CRUNCH-Named G Karl Goehring assistant coach. ECHL

CHARLOTTE CHECKERS-Named Donny White equipment manager, Teri LaSalle athletic trainer and Thomas Anderson assistant equipment manager.

International Hockey League

MUSKEGON LUMBERJACKS-Announced the resignation of Mike Schroeder athletic trainer. Named Jason Rule athletic trainer.
