Hockey's bad rep undeserved

I'm tired of the bad rap hockey gets in the States.

It's largely because of the media; particularly newspaper sports editors.

Many of them promote other sports because they don't have a clue about hockey. Worse, they cover up their lack of knowledge by making non-factual, blanket statements like "nobody cares about hockey."

What also gets me are the people who complain about hockey being on Versus, saying they can't find the channel. What a bunch of donkeys.

They'll click through 100 channels to find porn or some boring basketball game that takes two hours to finish because the last minute is a foul-filled, timeout-laden 45 minutes long, but they can't be bothered to click to find hockey.

What a bunch of garbage.
