Hurricanes call up forward Brett Sutter, who will join cousin on NHL roster

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Carolina Hurricanes called up forward Brett Sutter from their AHL affiliate in Charlotte on Friday.

The older cousin of Carolina forward Brandon Sutter was brought up for the first time since his father—former Calgary GM Darryl Sutter—traded him to the Hurricanes in a four-player deal in November.

Brett Sutter, 23, had one goal and one assist in 18 career games with the Flames. He had seven goals and seven assists with the Charlotte Checkers.
