Teuvo Teravainen has finally landed on North American shores and may even play for the Chicago Blackhawks soon. The Finnish dynamo is highly touted and coming off a season in which he helped his country win a surprise gold medal at the World Junior Championship, beating the host Swedes in the final.

This summer, I caught up with Teravainen in Lake Placid, N.Y., where Finland's WJC hopefuls played in an exhibition tournament against similar national teams from Sweden, Canada and the host Americans. As you can see from the following video, I tried to say his name the proper Finnish way; it didn't come out too clean.

Woof. Anyways, the rest of the video features a little primer on Teravainen and even some foreshadowing on how his Finns would win that WJC gold.
