Injury-riddled Sabres recall two from AHL's Rochester to offset additional losses

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Sabres recalled forward Paul Szczechura and defenceman Brayden McNabb from Rochester of the AHL prior to their game Saturday night against the Washington Capitals to help offset yet another round of injuries.

The call-ups were necessary after two more regulars went down in Friday's loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Defenceman Robyn Regehr sustained an upper-body injury, and right wing Drew Stafford has an undisclosed injury. They both missed the Capitals game.

Besides Regehr and Stafford, the other injured Sabres regulars are: forwards Brad Boyes (right leg), Tyler Ennis (ankle), Patrick Kaleta (lower body), and Cody McCormick (upper body); defencemen Mike Weber (upper body ) and Tyler Myers (broken wrist); and goalie Ryan Miller (concussion).
