Irving makes 38 saves, Armstrong scores twice as Abbotsford beats Peoria 6-2

PEORIA, Ill. - Leland Irving stopped 38 shots and Riley Armstrong scored twice in the Abbotsford Heat's 6-2 victory over the Peoria Rivermen in AHL action Wednesday.

Carsen Germyn and Garth Murray had a goal and an assist apiece for the Heat (11-9-4), while Kris Chucko and Keith Aulie added singles. Cam Cunning chipped in with three assists.

Cam Paddock and Yan Stastny replied for the Rivermen (9-7-3), while Hannu Toivonen made 23 saves in the loss.
