Jason Jaffray scores twice as Abbotsford Heat rout Peoria Rivermen 6-0

PEORIA, Ill. - Jason Jaffray scored twice as the Abbotsford Heat hammered the Peoria Rivermen 6-0 in American Hockey League action Friday.

Peter Vandermeer, David Van der Gulik, Colin Stuart and John Negrin also scored for the Heat who improved to 9-6-3 despite only going 1-for-9 with the man advantage.

Peoria (7-5-3) were held off the board despite seven chances on the power play.

Abbotsford goaltender David Shantz made 27 saves for his second career shutout, while at the other end Ben Bishop stopped 23 shots.
