Jesper Fast scores spinning, no look tally on Anton Khudobin

New York Rangers winger Jesper Fast had only scored three goals heading into Saturday night, but his tally against the Carolina Hurricanes will stand as one of the year's best. Fast picked up a loose puck behind him and, in one motion, fired a spinning, no-look wrist shot that found its way into the back of the net.

New York Rangers winger Jesper Fast hasn't had the most notable of seasons, scoring only three goals and 10 points heading into Saturday night's tilt with the Carolina Hurricanes. But after Saturday, he does have one of the most impressive goals of the year.

After the Rangers cleared their zone, the puck ended up on the stick Kevin Hayes. Only Hurricanes defender Ryan Murphy was back on the play, so Hayes held on to the puck to draw Murphy over before slipping it in Fast's direction.

The puck found its way over to Fast, but sat just a couple feet behind him. Fast, ever the quick thinker, turned, scooped up the loose puck, spun and fired. The rocket of a wrister found its way past Carolina netminder Anton Khudobin. You can check out the goal below:

Fast, who has found success in the AHL with the Hartford Wolfpack, hasn't been able to quite translate it to the NHL at this point. This spinning tally, however, is a testament to the type of talent he does possess.

If Fast can bring the game he's shown in the AHL to the big league, it's possible the Rangers have found themselves a nice, depth talent that can suit up in their bottom six and provide scoring from the wing.
