Kevin Lalande stops 36 as Crunch halt losing skid with 4-0 win over Marlies

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Kevin Lalande stopped 36 shots as the Syracuse Crunch stoned the Toronto Marlies 4-0 in American Hockey League play Friday.

Lalande got his third shutout of the season as the Crunch snapped a four-game winless streak. Greg Moore scored twice for Syracuse (31-36-6), while Evan McGrath and Chad Kolarik added singles.

Moore gave the Crunch an early lead at 9:48 in the first period, deflecting a shot past Marlies goaltender James Reimer after Jay Rosehill was sent to the penalty box for boarding.

McGrath made it 2-0 with just 46 seconds remaining in the second when he found a loose puck in a scrum at the top of the crease and pushed it by Reimer.

Kolarik snapped a shot that went off Reimer's glove and in for a 3-0 lead at 6:21 in the third, and Moore added an empty-net, short-handed goal at 18:10 to finish off the Marlies (30-31-11).

Reimer made 27 saves for the loss.
