Kings activate Doughty, Parse off injured reserve, both expected to return to lineup Thursday

Drew Doughty is expected to be back in the Los Angeles Kings’ lineup Thursday after the team activated him from the injured reserve.

Doughty has missed the past six games with an upper-body injury and has one point and a plus-2 rating in five games this season. Last season he was a finalist for the Norris Trophy after posting 59 points in 82 games.

The Kings also activated 26-year-old Scott Parse who has yet to play a game this season as he came back from a groin injury sustained in training camp. Parse had 24 points in 59 games last season and is also expected to be in Thursday night’s lineup when the Kings take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
