Kipper needed a rest

It's too bad for Calgary Flames fans that coach Mike Keenan chose to ride Miikka Kiprusoff for 76 games this season.

It's clear Kipper has been fatigued in past post-seasons after playing 70+ games. With all of their acquisitions at the trade deadline I thought the Flames had a good chance to make it far this year.

But it is clear to me that playing Kiprusoff for this many games was poor judgment. Don't forget that when they made it to the 2004 Stanley Cup final Kipper only played 38 games during the regular season.
