Kronwall and Munro lead Toronto Marlies over Monsters 3-1

CLEVELAND - Staffan Kronwall scored the eventual winner and Adam Munro made 31 saves as the Toronto Marlies won 3-1 over the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday in the AHL.

Kronwall scored his fifth of the year at 6:29 in the third on a feed from Stefano Giliati to put Toronto up 2-1.

Kyle Rogers opened the scoring for Toronto (15-13-0-3) in the first period and Todd Perry added some insurance at 11:15 of the third.

Kyle Cumiskey had the Monsters' lone goal to tie the game at 1 in the second.

Tyler Weiman stopped 25 of 28 shots for Lake Erie (11-13-1-5).
