LA Kings put star D Drew Doughty on injured list, recall D Slava Voynov

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - The Los Angeles Kings have placed Drew Doughty on the injured list because of an undisclosed upper body injury sustained at Philadelphia.

The Kings also recalled defenceman Slava Voynov from their AHL affiliate in Manchester on Sunday.

Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo levelled Doughty with a shoulder-to-chest hit just 24 seconds into Los Angeles' 3-2 overtime victory on Saturday night. After the game, the Kings said Doughty would be out for at least a week.

Doughty signed a US$56 million, eight-year contract last month, putting the 21-year-old player among the NHL's highest-paid defencemen. He was a Norris Trophy finalist in 2010.
