HOUSTON - Pierre-Cedric Labrie scored the game-winner for Manitoba as the Moose topped the Houston Aeros 3-2 in American Hockey League action Thursday night.

The left-winger fought off a defender with 3:23 to go in the third and backhanded a shot home for Manitoba (29-25-6). Sergei Shirokov and Michael Grabner also scored for the Moose, Duncan Milroy and Maxim Noreau replied for Houston (28-25-7).

After a scoreless first, the Moose made it 1-0 on the power play at 10:16 of the second. Guillaume Desbiens fed Shirokov, who beat Aeros netminder Barry Brust.

After Milroy tied things for the Aeros, Grabner fired a wrist shot from inside the blue-line to beat Brust to restore Manitoba's lead at 14:11.

Noreau beat Moose netminder Cory Schneider at 15:27 of the third to tie things again, but Labrie won it just 1:10 later.

Schneider stopped 26 of 28 shots in his 25th victory this season, while Brust also finished with 26 saves.
