Columbus Sends Trey Fix-Wolansky And Malcolm Subban Back To Cleveland

Columbus announced that Trey Fix-Wolansky and Malcolm Subban have been assigned back to the Cleveland Monsters ahead of the season finale against Carolina tomorrow night.

Elvis Merzļikins practiced on Monday signaling a possible return. Merzļikins hasn't played since March 30th in a game that he played and won against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Trey Fix-Wolansky being sent down is most likely due to the signing of Gavin Brindley. Brindley was signed to his ELC today and is expected to make his NHL debut. Fix-Wolansky played in 11 games for the CBJ and scored his first two goals against the Nashville Predators this past Saturday night.
