Paul raised $7,200 in his third year with the Lightning as he set new career-highs with 26 goals and 48 points.

Lightning forward Nick Paul stopped by the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay on Tuesday morning to present a check with the funds he raised through the “Points by Paul” initiative during the 2023-24 NHL season. Paul donated $150 for each point he recorded in the 2023-24 season, raising $7,200 with 26 goals and 48 points. The Lightning Foundation matched his donation, bringing the total amount to $14,400.

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay provides essential services to individuals and families in crisis, including counseling, a crisis hotline, and care coordination. The organization serves the Tampa Bay community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relies on donations to provide these vital services.

Paul came up with the idea of "Points by Paul" after he lost a close friend to suicide when he was in high school, the Lightning said. Now he's able to use his platform to support mental health campaigns.
