Status: Phoenix Coyotes left winger.

Ht: 6-feet-1 Wt: 196 pounds

DOB: July 28, 1986 In: Turku, Finland

Early Hockey Memory: "I think outdoor games with my friends in our schoolyard where they used to have ice. Just playing the game and I have a brother (Jussi) that's three years older than me. I used to play with his friends and because I was so young I was always put into net. They didn't let me play. That's one thing I'm a little bitter about (smiles). I'd be a lot better player if they let me play out there."

Hockey Inspirations: "I didn't really have an idol. Maybe there was a couple guys, like Saku Koivu played in my hometown when I was young. Fun to watch him play. I went to games there."

Nicknames: "They call me ‘Korpi.’ In New York, Brandon Dubinsky called me ‘Korpedo.’ "

Favorite Movies: "Comedy-wise, I like all the Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey movies. And then, of course, there's a couple of good ones like Gladiator. Really good movies."

Favorite TV Shows: "I started to watch Family Guy. Everybody's talking about it and I started watching it and it's pretty funny. I don't really watch any other TV shows."

Musical Tastes: "Pretty much everything; from U2 to Kanye West and everything between."

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: "I tried to start with golf, but I really didn't have the patience. I like to go play tennis in the summer. Now it's going to be next summer, buy a little boat and maybe learn the Finnish archipelago a little bit. Find the ways, learn to do that."

First Job: "This is my first real job. I wouldn't call them jobs - cutting grass. I never had like a real job. You had to practice a lot during the winter and summer. Not really time to have a real stable job before."

First Car: "Was a BMW (silver)."

Current Car: "Audi (white)."

Favorite Meal: "Just have meat and potatoes."

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: "Vanilla."

Pre-game Feeling: "Just happy to be here. Proud to play for the Phoenix Coyotes. It's great feeling."

Greatest Sports Moment:
"Of course, my first NHL game was a great moment. Winning the bronze in world juniors. We had an underdog team, we came and won bronze”

Most Painful Moment: "When you lose (smiles)."

Favorite Uniforms: "I think the Rangers have the nicest uniforms."

Most Memorable Goal: "I didn't score many goals (smiles). But, of course, the first NHL goal was memorable in playoffs. The first one I scored in men’s league back home, that was memorable, too."

Funny Hockey Memory:
"There's a lot of fun stuff that happens. There's little jokes that we did. I don't know if I can tell you this on…No, I can't tell it, sorry (laughs)."

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "Juniors, during the shift, I dropped my cup. It dropped on the ice. Kind of funny. Ref picked it up and I had to put it back on in the bench and everybody was watching."

Favorite Players To Watch:
"I don't watch any one player. But if I watch a game, guys like (Alex) Ovechkin, (Evgeni) Malkin, they're pretty exciting."

Closest Hockey Friends: "The guys back home, hockey buddies, we played juniors. The guys I played with in Hartford and New York. I know them a long time – ‘Dawesie’ (Nigel Dawes), ‘Cally’ (Ryan Callahan), ‘Dubi’ (Dubinsky), ‘Staalsy’ (Marc Staal), (Petr) Prucha."

Funniest Players Encountered: "I say Steve Valiquette and Dan Girardi. I like their humor."

Toughest Competitors:
"Brenden Morrow. Ovechkin, too. They both give everything, every shift. They're pretty intense."

Strangest Game: "In juniors we were down like 5-1 in quarterfinals. And we were down five-on-three penalty killing. And we scored two goals on five-on-three. And we came back and won the game in shootout. I was like 15 or 16."

Personality Qualities Most Admired: "Say honesty. Honesty is a big thing. And just being yourself. That's it."
