Leafs' Campbell remains day-to-day, Andersen starts against the Canucks

VANCOUVER -- Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Jack Campbell remains day-to-day and will not dress when the takes on the Vancouver Canucks to wrap up their five-game road trip.

"Jack Campbell tried it again this morning here after another day off yesterday but still won't be available," Toronto Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said.

Campbell last played against the Edmonton Oilers on Feb. 27 and posted a 30-save shutout in a 4-0 victory after missing a month with a leg injury.

The team's backup goaltender hasn't dressed since making the start in Edmonton. Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said Campbell had a flare-up of his previous injury.

"You know, the fact that he continues to be able to get on the ice every day, that's positive," Keefe said of Campbell. "He's making progress and that's why we've got uncertainty day-to-day because he's, you know, taking it a day at a time and working with the medical people to be as available as quickly as he can."

Campbell is 3-0-0 this season with a .951 save percentage.

Frederik Andersen starts in goal for the Leafs. Toronto's starting goaltender made 26 saves in a 6-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.

Andersen missed the four games prior to his start with a lower-body injury. He dressed as the backup to Michael Hutchsinon on Thursday in the team's 3-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.

Andersen is 12-3-2 this season with a .909 save percentage.

Travis Boyd will draw back into the lineup after he was scratched in place of forward Nic Petan, who will come out of the lineup.
