Leighton clears waivers, a Flyer again after leading team to Stanley Cup final

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled goalie Michael Leighton from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.

Leighton was called up after he cleared waivers Wednesday.

Leighton gives the Flyers three goalies. He'll backup Sergei Bobrovsky and Brian Boucher.

Leighton was 14-12-1 with a 2.22 goals-against average and .926 save percentage in 30 games for the Phantoms this season. In one appearance with the Flyers this season, Leighton is 1-0-0 with a 4.00 GAA and a .889 save percentage.

He went 8-3 in the playoffs last year with three shutouts, posting a 2.46 GAA and .916 save percentage.
