Let overtime be

I just finished watching the 3OT Game 5 between the Penguins and Red Wings. The debate about overtimes being too long and that the level of hockey begins to get sloppy as the fatigue sets in will no doubt be revved up once again.

The way I see it, even if the caliber of hockey does slip as the game goes on, how can you not get wrapped up in the intensity? It all comes down to one shot that decides whether the Cup is presented or if we have one more game.

Every mistake, bad bounce, or shot on goal has everybody on the edge of their seats. So let the overtime be, it is the most intense and exciting part of the playoffs.
