Lidstrom resumes practicing after suffering broken nose

After taking a puck to the face last week, leading to stitches and a broken nose, Nicklas Lidstrom returned to practice Sunday.

"I feel very fortunate," Lidstrom told the Detroit News. "It could have been a lot worse. I'm feeling pretty good and looking a lot better, too, believe it or not, than I did a couple days ago. It's good to be back on the ice again."

Lidstrom was wearing a visor in Sunday’s practice.

The Red Wings play Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Lidstrom hopes to return to action for at least one of those games.
