Lightning send Andre Roy home for a week after run-in with coach

After clashing with head coach John Tortorella during a 3-2 loss to the Flyers March 6, the Lightning has sent Andre Roy home for seven days while they review his future with the team.

“At this time I have directed Andre to take the week off away from the team, with pay, while our internal discussions and overall review continues," said GM Jay Feaster in a statement. " We will not have any further statement or comment to make at this time, and Andre has been asked by the Club not to discuss the matter with the media, until such time as there is a conclusive resolution.”

Roy, a New York native, has four goals and seven points to go with 108 penalty minutes in 63 games with the Bolts this season.
