UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- Yann Danis has the New York
Islanders on a roll.
The Islanders will seek a season-best fourth consecutive victory
Tuesday when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Danis made 37 saves to lead the New York Islanders to a 3-1
victory over the Florida Panthers on Saturday. He nearly
recorded his first shutout of the season, but Gregory Campbell
scored for Florida with 87 seconds left in the third period.
Mike Comrie gave the Islanders the lead with a first-period goal
and captain Bill Guerin and rookie Kyle Okposo scored in the
final session for New York.
The Lightning are coming off a 6-1 loss to the Philadelphia
Flyers on Friday.
Tampa Bay, which concludes a brief two-game road trip in
Pittsburgh on Wednesday, has lost back-to-back contests
following a three-game winning streak.
