Machacek leads the way as Chicago Wolves thump Abbotsford Heat 7-1

CHICAGO - The Chicago Wolves scored twice in the first period and four more times in the second on their way to a 7-1 win over the Abbotsford Heat in American Hockey League action Saturday.

Spencer Machacek had two goals and two assists, while Jason Krog and Brett Sterling each added a goal and three assists for Chicago.

Tim Stapleton and Andrew Kozek also scored for the Wolves (2-5-1).

Matt Pelech had the lone goal for Abbotsford (4-3-3).

Drew MacIntyre made 30 saves to pick up the win for Chicago, while David Shantz allowed all seven goals on 35 shots in defeat.
