Make goals for a playoff tiebreaker

I have an idea that might help cure the NHL's current low scoring trends.

When teams are tied in points in the standings, the tie is broken by the number of wins. I suggest the tiebreaking factor be changed to goals for.

This would be extremely effective considering the close races that are happening down the stretch and teams are doing anything they can to get the upper hand.

This would force teams to open up if they want to avoid a heartbreaking finish that might cost them a playoff spot.
