Manitoba Moose close out 2007 with 3-1 AHL win over Monsters

WINNIPEG - Milan Gajic scored a pair of goals as the Manitoba Moose closed out 2007 with a 3-1 win over the Lake Erie Monsters on Monday.

Michael Grabner extended his goal-scoring streak to three games in front of a crowd of 11,915 at the MTS Centre, while Drew MacIntyre stopped 20 of 21 shots for his 13th win of the season.

Gajic broke Manitoba's power-play goal drought that had spanned three games with a slick shot from the near face-off circle past Tyler Weiman in the first period.

Grabner made it 2-0 midway through the second period with another power-play goal, manoevring the puck to the top of the far face-off circle and slapping it home.

Grabner scored his second of the game at 11:50 of the third, as Manitoba's power-play unit capitalized once again.

Jamie Lundmark finally got Lake Erie on the scoreboard with a goal at at 10:29 of the third.
