Manitoba Moose release forward Jamie Tardif after only one AHL appearance

Tardif, 21, was in the lineup for a 5-2 loss Saturday in Hershey, Pa. He was released Sunday.

The native of Welland, Ont., had appeared in 15 games with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL and had five goals and nine assists. In five OHL seasons with the Peterborough Petes, he had 155 goals and 136 assists in 324 games. He was selected in the fourth round, 112th overall, by the Calgary Flames in the 2003 NHL entry draft.
