Maple Leafs goaltender J.S. Giguere out one to two weeks with groin strain
TORONTO - Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender J.S. Giguere will be out one to two weeks with a groin strain, the NHL team announced Wednesday.
Giguere pulled himself from Tuesday's 5-4 victory over Nashville after experiencing some discomfort.
The Maple Leafs recalled James Reimer from the AHL Marlies to take his place.
Reimer has yet to appear in a NHL game. He served as a backup for a game in October 2009 after being called up on an emergency basis.
The 22-year-old has appeared in nine AHL games this season, posting a 5-3-1 record with a 2.90 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
