Maple Leafs, Thrashers hoping to turn things around

Atlanta (12-20-4) at Toronto (14-16-6), 7:30 p.m. EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs will try and snap a

three-game losing streak when they host the Atlanta Thrashers on

Toronto has been outscored, 16-4, over the skid, including

Sunday's 4-1 setback at Washington.

Goaltender Vesa Toskala has been in net for all three of the

losses and the 31-year-old has allowed three goals or more in

his last five appearances. He is 13-12-5 with a 3.31

goals-against average this season.

Opening up a four-game homestand against the Thrashers could be

just what the Maple Leafs need to turn things around.

Atlanta enters the game having dropped two straight and John

Anderson's club has just five wins in its last 20 contests.

Bryan Little scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season on

Sunday, but the Thrashers fell to the Boston Bruins, 2-1.

Little has six goals over his last three games, including a hat

trick in a 5-4 loss to Carolina on Friday.
