Marc Denis has third shutout of the season as Bulldogs beat Marlies 4-0

HAMILTON - Marc Denis made 21 saves as the Hamilton Bulldogs shutout the Toronto Marlies 4-0 in AHL action Tuesday night.

Kyle Chipchura, Mathieu Carle, Max Pacioretty and Ryan Russell each scored and Dan Jancevski had three assists as Hamilton improved to 20-11-2-0.

It was a chippy meeting between the two rivals. Both teams split 16 penalties, but Carle's first-period goal was the only one scored with the man advantage.

Denis recorded his third shutout of the season, while at the other end Marlies goalie Justin Pogge stopped 21 shots for the loss. Toronto dropped to 17-14-0-3.
