Marc Denis stops 43 shots to help Bulldogs blank Admirals 2-0

NORFOLK, Va. - Marc Denis made 43 saves for his fifth shutout of the season and second in less than a week as the Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Norfolk Admirals 2-0 on Friday in AHL action.

David Desharnais opened the scoring on a 5-on-3 power play, blasting a slapshot that sailed past Norfolk starting goaltender Riku Helenius.

Hamilton (32-19-2-0) took a 2-0 lead at 7:08 of the final frame as Steve Gainey tapped in a rebound to give the Bulldogs some insurance.

Helenius made 24 saves for Norfork (19-25-2-5).
