Mathieu Carle scores first AHL to lead Hamilton over Binghamton 3-2

BINGHAMTON, NY - Rookie Mathieu Carle scored his first AHL goal and assisted on another to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 3-2 win over the Binghamton Senators in AHL action Saturday night.

The win snapped Hamilton's five-game losing streak.

Marvin Degon and Matt D'Agostini scored the other Bulldogs goals.

Justin Mapletoft and Denis Hamel replied for the Senators.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Ottawa Senators' top affiliate attempted a rally with Mapletoft's and Hamel's quick goals in the third period.

But that was as close as the Senators would get.

Yann Danis stopped 28 of 30 shots in the Bulldogs win, while Jeff Glass made 26 saves on 29 shots for the Senators.
