Minnesota Wild sign Jose Theodore to one-year contract
The Minnesota Wild have added Jose Theodore to the mix, signing the former Hart Trophy winner to a one-year contract.
Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Wild have been in need of a backup goaltender for Niklas Backstrom ever since Josh Harding went down with a knee injury, which may force him to miss the entire season.
Theodore, 34, was 30-7-7 with Washington last season with a 2.81 GAA and .908 SP. He won the Hart as the league MVP and Vezina as the top goaltender with Montreal in 2002.
