Missing J.R. already

Frank Rekas, Plantation, Florida

From your first shift as a Chicago Blackhawk, I knew you would be special.

You quickly became my favorite NHL player with your fearless play. You put me at the edge of my seat with every shift and put a smile on my face with your colorful comments.

You have had a great career and I am so glad to have watched you evolve into the player that you ultimately became.

I will always have great memories of you and the thrills you gave to me as your biggest fan. There will never be another like you.

Congratulations on a great career and for being able to do it all on your terms.

I am going to miss you!
