Montreal Canadiens assign forward Corey Locke to AHL Hamilton

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens assigned forward Corey Locke to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Locke, 23, had been recalled last Tuesday and played his first career NHL game against the Chicago Blackhawks that night. He did not collect a point in Montreal's 4-3 overtime victory.

Entering Friday night's home game against Syracuse, Locke led the Bulldogs with 28 points (12-16) in 34 games.
