Moose clinch first in North Division but lose to Marlies 3-1

WINNIPEG - Jay Rosehill scored the game winner as the Toronto Marlies beat the league-leading Manitoba Moose 3-1 in AHL play Friday.

Joe Ryan opened the scoring in the second period for the Marlies and Ryan Hamilton added an empty-net goal in the third as Toronto improved to 37-29-3-7.

Dusty Collins scored the lone goal for the Moose, who dropped to 49-21-0-6 but clinched first in the North Division with Grand Rapid's 6-3 loss to Hamilton earlier Friday night.

Toronto goalie Justin Pogge stopped 26 shots for the win, while at the other end Cory Schneider made 23 saves.
