Moose wrap up regular season with 4-1 win over Monsters

CLEVELAND - The Manitoba Moose wrapped up their regular season with a 4-1 win over the Lake Erie Monsters on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Michael Grabner notched a pair of goals for Manitoba to bring his total to 30 for the season, while Taylor Ellington and Nolan Baumgartner scored singles.

Curtis Sanford stopped 25 of 26 shots in Manitoba's 50th win of the season.

Mark McCutcheon scored the only goal for Lake Erie (34-38-3-5), which missed the playoffs. Tyler Weiman made 24 saves in a losing cause.

The Moose (50-23-1-6) will meet the Toronto Marlies in the first round of the playoffs starting Wednesday at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.
