Munro turns aside 16 shots to propel Syracuse past Hamilton 2-0 in AHL action

HAMILTON - Adam Munro made 16 saves for his first shutout of the season as the Syracuse Crunch blanked the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-0 on Saturday night in the American Hockey League.

Adam Pineault scored the game winner 4:45 into the second period while Clay Wilson added an insurance goal late in the third period for the Crunch (22-24-2-1).

Munro was rarely tested as the Bulldogs (19-19-1-5) failed to register more than six shots in any period. Hamilton was held scoreless for a second straight night, and hasn't scored a regulation goal in 135 minutes 47 seconds.

Carey Price turned aside 33 shots for the Bulldogs.
