Nashville Predators sign first-round pick Chet Pickard to entry-level contract

The Nashville Predators signed 18th overall pick Chet Pickard to a three-year entry level contract.

Pickard spent last season with the Tri-City Americans of the Western League, where he posted a 46-12-4 record with a 2.32 goals-against average.

The 18-year-old netminder was Nashville's second pick of the first round in June. He was also the first goaltender taken.
