Nashville Predators sign forward Josh Langfeld to one-year contract

The two-way deal will pay him US$500,000 in the NHL and $100,000 in the AHL. Langfeld, 30, had two assists in 33 games with Detroit last season and 32 points (13-19) in 38 games with Grand Rapids of the AHL.

The native of Fridley, Minn., has 32 points (9-23) in 141 career NHL games with Ottawa, San Jose, Boston and Detroit.

He was originally Ottawa's third choice, 66th overall, in the 1997 NHL entry draft.
