Nashville signs German forward Marcel Goc to 1-year deal worth US$775,00

NASHVILLE - The Nashville Predators signed German forward Marcel Goc to a one-year extension worth US$775,000 on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old Goc already has a career-high 10 goals in 49 NHL games in his first year with the Predators.

He is three points away from the 22 points scored in his rookie season in 2005-06 with San Jose.

The German Olympian is winning 51.5 per cent of his face-offs with 16 points coming in his last 25 games.
