New Jersey Devils sign defencemen Eric Gelinas and Dan Kelly to contracts

NEWARK, N.J. - The New Jersey Devils have signed defencemen Eric Gelinas and Dan Kelly.

Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello made the announcement Wednesday without disclosing contract terms.

Gelinas was selected with the No. 54 pick in last year's draft. The 19-year-old split this past season between Lewiston and Chicoutimi, collecting six goals and 25 assists in 61 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games.

Kelly, an undrafted 21-year-old, spent the past five seasons with the Kitchener Rangers. He had 11 goals and 71 assists in 235 games with the Ontario Hockey League team.
