New York Islander sign Kirill Kabanov to three-year, entry-level deal

UNIONDALE, N.Y. - The New York Islanders have signed forward Kirill Kabanov to a three-year, entry-level deal.

The Russian was selected 65th overall by the Islanders last year.

"Finally," Kabanov wrote on Twitter. "Soooooo happy...)) To be apart of Islanders Organization."

Kabanov split last season between Moncton and Lewiston in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, scoring 11 goals and 28 points in 39 games.
