The New York Rangers have acquired some scoring depth, getting Tyler Motte from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2023 fourth-round pick.

Motte has 260 games to his credit, recording 35 goals and 62 points, including 15 points this season. Motte started his career with Chicago in 2016-17 before moving over to Columbus the next season. Motte later ended up in Vancouver, where he spent the past five seasons.

Motte is good around the net and possesses a nice wrist shot, but he just hasn't found a way to produce at a consistent level. But in New York, this will give him a chance to compete for a Stanley Cup, and he'll be a decent addition to the team's bottom six.
