The Ducks also reassigned defenceman Aaron Rome to Portland of the American Hockey League. Jackman had one goal in seven games with the Panthers this season.
The 28-year-old split last season between Pittsburgh and Florida, recording seven goals with 23 assists in 64 games.
A native of Toronto, Jackman has 18 goals and 48 assists in 207 career NHL games with Dallas, Boston, Toronto, Pittsburgh and Florida.
