The Florida Panthers are a little more than two weeks removed from winning their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, and lots of off-season news has happened since then.

With the NHL draft and beginning of free agency happening in the week that followed, Florida's management and scouting crews quickly shifted toward building the roster that will try to go back-to-back next season.

The Panthers re-signed winger Sam Reinhart to an eight-year contract right before he became a UFA, as well as young center Anton Lundell and defenseman Dmitry Kulikov. They also added brothers Jesper and Adam Boqvist, Nate Schmidt and Chris Driedger among their free-agent signings.

That said, Florida did lose blueliners Brandon Montour and Oliver Ekman-Larsson in free agency to the Seattle Kraken and Toronto Maple Leafs, respectively. Backup goaltender Anthony Stolarz also signed with the Maple Leafs after posting a 2.03 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 27 games for the Panthers last season. Vladimir Tarasenko, who joined the Panthers at the trade deadline, signed with the Red Wings as well.

With that, Michael Traikos and Jacob Stoller discussed whether these moves keep the Panthers as favorites to win the Stanley Cup next season or whether the losses will affect Florida more than anticipated.
