CHICAGO - Chicago Blackhawks right-winger Adam Burish will be out for six months after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a pre-season game against Minnesota on Sunday.

The team's physician, Dr. Michael Terry, said Burish will soon undergo reconstructive knee surgery. He added the team expects Burish to make a complete recovery.

The 26-year-old Burish has 309 penalty minutes, 10 goals and seven assists in 156 regular-season games over the last three seasons with Chicago.
