Nashville (14-12-2) at Columbus (11-13-3), 7:00 pm EST

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets hope a

return home can get them back in the win column.

After a disastrous road trip through California, the Blue

Jackets will look to get back on track against the Nashville

Predators on Thursday.

Columbus failed to get through its three-game stop in the

"Golden State" with a point. After dropping a 3-2 decision to

the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, the Blue Jackets were blanked

by the Los Angeles Kings, 3-0, on Saturday and lost to the

Anaheim Ducks, 5-3, on Sunday.

Rookie Derick Brassard and defenseman Kris Russell each had a

goal and an assist Sunday for Columbus, which is seeking its

third straight home win.

The 21-year-old Brassard has nine goals and a team-leading 13

assists.

The Predators are hoping to avoid a third straight loss after

suffering a 3-1 setback to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.

Dan Ellis made his first start since November 29, but did

receive much help from the offense.

Ellis, who is being challenged by Pekka Rinne for the starting

job, turned aside 25 of 27 shots.
