BOSTON - Boston Bruins forward David Krejci underwent successful hip surgery in New York on Thursday, the team said.

Krejci will need four to six months to recover.

Krejci was second on the Bruins with 51 assists last season and he led the NHL with a plus-minus rating of plus-37. He scored two goals with six assists in the playoffs.
