After the two sides battled to a scoreless draw in regulation, Bowden scored on Canada's only shot of overtime.

But the Canadians certainly controlled the play, outshooting Norway by a lopsided 24-9 margin, but needed the extra session to finally beat Norwegian goaltender Roger Johansen.

It marked the second straight game that Canada needed overtime to beat Norway. Bowden came down the left side and beat Johansen with a shot high to the Norwegian's glove side for his third goal of the tournament. Afterwards, Bowden was named the Canadian team's player of the game.

Canadian goalie Paul Rosen registered the shutout.
